Nadja in der Schweiz

Daily life

It's already a month that I'm here in Zurich. Time is passing by pretty quickly. Summer is over, temperate falls and sometimes it's quite cold. Well, Switzerland is not known for having tropical climate, right?
University keeps me busy during the day and since last week I have a job, too. Suprise, surprise...I'm working at the university. To be more precise, at the KOF which is the Swiss Institute for Business Cycle Research and associated to the chair of applied macroeconomics at the ETH. Seems as if I stick to this research jobs.
Besides working and studying I'm enjoying my free time with going out and having fun. Last weekend I went to the Expovina together with Anna Lena and some other friends. The Expovina is a wine exhibition and located on twelve boats lying at the Zurich lake. There are hundreds of stalls from different winegrowers on the boats and you can try all their wines. I never had so much good wine and especially in such a short time. You could really compare them and realise the different tastes and characters. Although I'm not knowing much about wine my favourites are the wines from the Wallis and the Gewürztraminer, which is a specific sort of grapes. Well, of course we got a little drunk, but since it was mostly high quality wine I didn't have a headache next day.
This weekend is going to be a special one because my best friend Jule comes to visit me here and I'm so much looking forward to this. Tomorrow morning I'll pick her up at the airport and so far we have no special plans.
I wish you all a very nice weekend and next time I gonna post some pictures.

Hugs, Nadja
